Our Story
Serving the Twin Cities area since 1939 - a community built around sport, safety and fellowship.
Who We Are
Twin Cities Rod and Gun Club is a non-profit shooting sports club based in Yuba City, California. We were founded in 1939 and have been a fixture of the Yuba-Sutter community ever since.
We operate two facilities: an outdoor rifle and pistol range on Second Street, next to Sutter County Airport, and a clubhouse with indoor range on Market Street. Between the two, we run CCW certification classes, competitive shoots, junior shooting programs, and a growing calendar of club events throughout the year.
The club is run entirely by volunteers. Our six CCW instructors, our range masters, our board - every one of them gives their time because they care about this community and about promoting safe, responsible shooting sports in the Twin Cities area.
This is a membership club with deep roots. When you walk through the gate, you're among neighbors.
Our Mission
Twin Cities Rod and Gun Club exists to promote safe, responsible shooting sports and to serve as a resource for education, training, and recreation in the Yuba-Sutter community.
Our founding charter, filed with the State of California in 1939, established our purpose as the conservation of wildlife and natural resources, education and training in hunting and sport, and the cultivation of fellowship among sportsmen and women across the region.
Those principles haven't changed. What started as a small group of sportsmen in Marysville has grown into a thriving club that serves shooters of every age and experience level - from first-time CCW students to nationally ranked junior competitors.

NRA Foundation grant for member safety. The club received an NRA Foundation grant to install air scrubbers in the indoor range, reducing lead exposure for members and instructors. A tangible investment in the health and safety of everyone who uses the facility.
Survived and thrived through COVID. The club maintained its community through the pandemic, emerging as an active and well-supported organization on the other side.
Community service partnerships. The club provides training services to local law enforcement agencies, supports 4-H, Sea Cadets, and other youth groups, and is the proud home of the Sutter Union High School Junior Olympic Rifle Team - nationally ranked in the top 10.
